The Merimbula 50's Dance Festival is now in the planning and will be held each year on the Victorian Labor Day Long Weekend beginning 2011....................On March 6th 2010 we will be launching the Festival with a Dance Workshop and Gala Rock and Roll Dance. (Home of Merimbula - Imlay Bowling Clubs & Tura Beach Country Club) We hope to see as many as possible attend the opening night and share in the creation of what we hope will become a major event on your Rock and Roll Calendar.
We have chosen this weekend after careful consideration so as it doesn't clash with all the other important dates such as Wintersun, Mildura, Geelong, Barham, Yarram, and any of the major Hotrod and Custom Shows and sanctioned runs.
A Merimbula version of Shadoogie has been formed for the occasion and the festival will include bands from every state so that everyone can see who are the Very Best Rock and Roll outfits in Australia and enjoy their music..
Please keep an eye out on this website for further updates as they occur and for details on how to book and where to stay. It would also be very helpful to contact me on lewis@shadoogie.com.au with your names and contact details so that I can add you to our data base for the Festival.
